Matthew Hennessey leads off a brilliant piece in The Wall Street Journal with this line.

Maybe that’s why healthcare is so fun to write about. It irritates doctors three times an hour. That’s why this comic book exists, and why Hennessey’s piece shows how the lunacy of CMS’s central planning plays out in real life.

As he writes:

“I’m a free-market guy. You can look it up. But my increasing irritation with the American healthcare system could make me grab a pitchfork before too long.”

Now, I’m hoping Mr. Hennessey says that because he wants less central planning in healthcare, not more. The reason he’s so upset isn’t because of a “free market.”

It’s because of CMS’s central planning.
